Housing
2.1 Installation of the Housing
The housing mounts directly into a comer of a solid
W a l l .
FASTENER NOTE:
In the following instructions,
where the manual indicates
bolts, screws, and nuts, metric
X 1.0 hardware
may be used. Where the manual indicates
lag
bolts or
that must be supplied
by the
equivalentfasteners may be used.
Wherever equipment must be mounted to built-in
threaded studs in the housing or wherever the hous-
ing or its accessories have prethreaded holes, the
studs and holes will be threaded and tappedfor UNC
or UNF standardfasteners, and the mating fastener
will be supplied in the accessory pack with the prod-
uct.
CAUTION:
This unit should not be mounted to a

dry-wall
It must be mounted on a sur-
face
which is strong enough to bear its weight
and resist unauthorized attempts to dislodge it,
CAUTION:
Be certain that the area behind the
A
selected location is clear
of obstacles (such as
steel studs or beams, pipes, electrical wiring,
etc.) which would interfere with the mounting
of
the unit.
The back of the housing has four cable access holes and
screw holes for mounting. Use
housing itself
as a template for the exact location of the holes.
NOTE:
There are
holes on the rear panels
of
the
(4 holes per side), but only four (4)
holes (2 per side) are needed to mount the housing.
CAUTION:
Careful positioning
of
the template
A
and careful marking
of
the hole locations is very
important to assure that the mounting holes in
the housing line up with the holes in the wall.
