MODELS
AND
PAN-AND-TILT DRIVES
INTRODUCTION
The information in this manual covers the in-
stallation, operation, and maintenance of
Models
and
Tilt Drives.
This equipment must be installed in con-
formance with national, state, and local
electrical codes.
The
and
Pan-and-Tilt
Drives are light-duty indoor units designed
specifically for use with CCD cameras. Both
offer
operation and have
adjustable pan limit-stops. All wiring to the
camera and lens is concealed to eliminate wire
fatigue caused by
operation and
provides an uncluttered appearance. A
in connector is supplied for use with motorized
lenses. Both units are capable of handling
loads up to 7.5 pounds (3.4 kg) and are
constructed almost entirely of high-strength
plastic.
The
is designed with a IO-inch
(25 cm) integral wall mount styled to com-
plement the pan-and-tilt. The
is equipped with a square mounting base for
installations not requiring the use of an
integral wall mount or where inverted in-
stallation is needed.
INSTALLATION
MOUNTING THE
1. Select a suitable mounting location for
the pan-and-tilt. The mounting surface
must provide adequate support for the
combined weight of the pan-and-tilt unit
and the camera/lens combination. [The

2. Remove the mounting plate template pro-
vided at the end of this manual (Figure 6).
Position the template on the selected
mounting location and mark the location
of the mounting holes and cable entry
locations. Use the two (2) center holes
(labeled A) if the unit is being mounted
on a stud. Use the four (4) outer holes
(labeled B) in all other cases.
3. Open holes in the wall for cable entry.
4. Remove the two (2) screws securing the
prewired BNC connector on the underside of
the integral wall mount.
5. Bolt the mounting plate to the wall using
appropriate No. 10 hardware.
6. Pull the video, power, and control cabling
through the cable entry locations.
7. Strip the wire ends and loosen the screws
of terminal blocks
and
8. Insert the wire ends into
and
according to Figure 1 and tighten
screws.
Note that video connections 1 and
2 on
are prewired to the BNC.
9. Push the ribbon-cable connector onto
(red stripe to pin 1) and place the
and-tilt on the mounting plate so that it
is fully supported. Install the two (2)
securing screws provided.
10. Reattach the BNC to the underside of the
integral wall mount.
