Limit Stop Adjustment
Mounting the Camera
Perform the following procedure to mount the camera:
1. Remove the camera mounting plate from the unit by sliding open the two (2) latches (Figure 3, Legend 1) on
the underside of the top plate. Move the latch handle toward the left to open.
2. Determine the best balance point to mount the camera/lens load evenly by placing the camera on a flat
surface and inserting a pencil or similar object under the unit to find the center balance point. The position of
the pencil indicates the point on the camera that should be at the center of the camera mounting plate.
3. Note the location of the label FRONT on the top edge of the support platform. For upright installation, the
camera should be mounted with the lens to the FRONT side for proper tilt operation. For inverted mounting,
face the camera in the opposite direction.
4. Attach the camera/lens to the camera plate, selecting one of the three holes (Figure 2, Legend 1) which
results in the best balance of the camera on the pan-and-tilt, with the 1/4-20 screw and lockwasher
supplied.
5. Place the camera attached to its mounting plate on the unit, facing it in the proper direction, and slide the
two (2) latches to the right, securing the camera to the unit.
