Introduction
The information in this manual covers the installation, operation, and maintenance of Model V3000APT-1 Pan-
and-Tilt Drive. This unit should be only be installed by a qualified technician in accordance with national, state,
and local wiring codes. Read these instructions through completely before attempting installation.
The V3000APT-1 is a light-duty, indoor 24 VAC pan-and-tilt drive with autopan, specifically designed for small
CCTV cameras. The unit uses a counterbalance system designed to handle loads up to 15 pounds (6.8 kg)
when mounted in either an upright or inverted position.
Operational stability without coast is provided by drive motors with instant start-stop characteristics. Drive trains
are constructed with acetal output gears, and slow speed, high torque motors maintain a low noise level. A
retractable cord prevents wire fatigue during autopan operation. Tilt stops are externally accessible for
adjustment, and the camera plate can be easily removed for servicing by simply sliding the two camera latches
open.
The V3000APT-1 may be energized using an appropriate 24 VAC control unit or a combination of a 24 VAC
control unit with an appropriate relay box. The table in the Installation chapter lists maximum operating
distances.
This unit complies with UL standard 1409.
