Adjustment Procedure
Remove the cover of the V200VA-B by removing the four screws (two on top, one on each side) securing it.
Connect the V200VA-B to an appropriate power source. Vicon strongly recommends the use of line
conditioners, voltage regulators, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. Adjust the unit following the
procedure below.
1. Use a small screwdriver to turn the Total Gain potentiometer fully clockwise (Figure 2). Turn the control
counterclockwise until a picture with a comfortable level of brightness and contrast appears on the monitor.
Eliminate “bleaching out” of bright areas. Adjust the brightness control on the monitor at this time.
2. Sharpen the video image by first turning the Low Frequency (LF) Compensation potentiometer in a
counterclockwise direction to produce a picture that is not distorted and in which large objects are clearly
defined. See Figure 2. Then turn the High Frequency (HF) Compensation potentiometer in a
counterclockwise direction until small objects and edges are clear.
3. Disconnect the power source, CAMERA, and MONITOR connections. Replace the cover and secure with
the four screws.
