Applying Power
Warning: Do not connect any unit to a power source until installation is complete.
After all connections are properly made, perform the following power application procedure.
1. As shown below, the main power switch is located on the rear of the unit. Turn the main power switch to
the ON position.
2. If your unit does not power up, you have an early V1500CPU unit and must open the front access panel
and toggle the front panel power switch ON (refer to following figure). This step is not required on later
production units.
Perform the following procedure to shut down the unit.
1. Select the Shutdown option from the Windows Start Menu.
2. The system will shut down normally and then begin a reboot. When the memory test (initial BIOS boot)
displays on the monitor, turn the main power switch (located on the rear panel) to the OFF position.
To reset the unit (toggle power) at any time:
Depress the front panel main switch. (This may result in a data loss.)
