Always observe the following:
– If the fork arms are too severely damaged or worn, do not use them any fur-
ther and replace them in pairs.
Damaged and worn fork tips (Fig. 17) are an injury risk or could damage the
goods to be transported.

Fork arm wear can occur on all four sides of the fork arm depending on use. It is
necessary to check for wear in every area. Due to the increased ground contact, the
fork arm must be checked, particularly on the underside in the vicinity of the fork bend
(Fig. 18/1) and the fork tip (Fig. 18/2).
