Step-by-step assembly

It fits into the hole indicated by the red circle.

To provide more access, move the gear selector to the furthest notch.

The assembly should now look like this.

Take the small register screw provided.

Compress the spring to release the selector pawl, then rotate the selector. You may find it helpful to use a screwdriver to move it as shown in Step 19.
