ADJUSTING THE V-BRAKES
Tools needed:

Loosen the anchor bolt
and
the brake cable will slide in,
opening the brake.

• If needed, adjust cable tension
• Pull cable and anchor bolt.
• Balance brake
• Opening and closing a V-Brake for Wheel removal
• Test
• Complete: Tuck cable in
5mm Allen Wrench
Philips Head Screwdriver (not included)
Front fork
must be turned
forward to
function
properly.
Loosen braking pad with
5mm Allen Wrench, then
press pad into the wheel
rim. Align parallel to rim.
Tighten brake pad to brake
assembly.
1. Squeeze calipers together
2. Pull cable length tightly
3. Tighten anchor bolt with 5mm
Allen Wrench
Squeeze hard 3 times and repeat
step 5 if necessary.
Spring tension
adjustment screw
Adjust spring tension to
centre brake 2mm from
rim on each side.
Squeeze rubber
bellows to the
right.
Squeeze
calipers & pull
noodle up
Brake
calipers
should
spring
open
Reverse
to close
Tuck in extra brake cable.
Spring tension
adjustment screw
5mm
1. Pull the brake lever.
2. Insert cable into hole in brake.
3. Insert cable into key hole slot.
4. Twist to secure cable.
