5.2.2.Evacuating the System
• Fully release the factory-charged nitrogen.
• Power On the XDH during the evacuation. The EEV will automatically open to ensure that the system is
evacuated thoroughly.
• Connect the high and low pressure composite pressure gauge to the front and rear sides of the Schrader
valves of the XDP pump, and evacuate the refrigeration system loop for more than 3 hours or less than
500 microns.
1. Evacuating while XDH is powered On
After XDH is powered On, press the boot button of all the XDHs, and then the electronic expansion valve will
automatically open. Then the system could be evacuated at any position of the Schrader valves shown in the
Figure 5-1 . As the XD system is large, it is suggested that several vacuum pumps can be used to evacuate the
system.
• Ensure that all the ball valves on XDP and XDHs are open before evacuating the system.
