Prepare the Site for Installation
To prepare your site for installing a CSG700 series appliance, follow the guidelines and requirements listed in this
article.
Site Preparation Guidelines
• Install the appliance in an enclosed and secure environment, and allow only authorized personnel to access the
device.
• Keep the area around the appliance free from dust and conductive material.
• Follow ESD prevention procedures to avoid any damage to the appliance.
Environmental Requirements
• Ensure that the area in which you operate the appliance has adequate air circulation so that the cooling system
functions normally. Ambient air temperature may not be sufficient to cool the chassis to acceptable operating
temperatures without adequate circulation.
• Avoid temperature extremes.
• High humidity conditions can cause moisture to penetrate into the chassis. The appliance can operate in relative
humidity of 10% to 85%, non-condensing.
