2.3 Inclination of the shell chair
WARNING:
Risk of tipping over – Be sure that the shell chair does not tip over
backwards when the shell chair is placed in his most backwards position.
WARNING:
Risk of injury – Check the brakes are engaged before changing the
inclination of the shell chair.
WARNING:
Risk of injury – Check that the shell chair is firmly locked after
inclination.
Inclination set by an attendant:
1. Engage the brakes.
2. Push the inclination lever

downwards.
3. Pull/Push the push bar
d
in the desired direction to incline the shell chair
backwards or set in the horizontal position (0° to +37°).
4. The leg rest shall also inclined.
5. Release the inclination lever
c

6. Check that the shell chair is firmly locked, by pushing and pulling the shell
chair with the push bar
d
gently down and upwards.
2.4 Parking brakes
WARNING:
Risk of injury – Engage the brakes to put the shell chair in a parking
position.
WARNING:
Good operation of the brakes is influenced by wear and
contamination of the tyres (water, oil, mud, …) – Check the condition of the tyres
before each use.
WARNING:
The brakes are adjustable and can wear – Check the operation of the
brakes before each use.
CAUTION:
Risk of unintended movement – Make sure the shell chair is on a flat
horizontal surface before releasing the brakes.
Inclination: 0° / +37°: 4 positions, steps ± 12°
