Verify the serial number of the storage shelf or the appliance to which the storage shelf is
connected.

On a 5230 appliance, the serial number is located on a black tab on the left side of the front panel.
Pull out the tab to display the serial number.

The storage shelf serial number is located on a white tab on the lower right side of the rear panel,
between the right-hand power supply and the chassis case. Pull out the tab to display the serial
number.
