Turning  the Unit On

The  system  is  in  standby  mode  (STANDBY  indicator  lights)  when  the  AC  power  cord  is  connected. 

Press  the     

STD.BY/ON

  button  on  the  unit  or  press  the 

STANDBY/ON

 

button  on  the  remote  control  to  turn  ON  the  unit. 
Press the 

FUNCTION

 button to select the desired feature. The corresponding 

feature  mode  will  appear  on  unit's  fluorescent  display.  If  DVD  is  selected, 
the  DVD  logo  (start-up  picture)  will  appear  on  the  screen.
Press  the     

STD.BY/ON

  button  on  the  unit  or  press  the 

STANDBY/ON

 

button  on  the  remote  control  to  return  the  unit  to  standby  mode.

Adjust the Sound Tone

Press  the 

SOUND

  button  until  a  desired  sound  effect  is  displayed.  Press      or     

CURSOR

 

button  to  adjust  the  sound  effect.

Using Headphones

Turn  down  the  volume  before  connecting  headphones 
to  the  unit,  then  adjust  the  volume  to  your  desired  level.
When  headphones  are  connected  to  the  unit,  the 
speakers  will  be  disabled.

Dolby Digital (for DVD)

Dolby  Digital  is  a  sound  system  developed  by  Dolby  Laboratories  Inc.  that  gives  movie  theatre 
ambience  to  audio  output  when  the  unit  is  connected  to  a  Dolby  Digital  5.1  channel  processor 
or  amplifier  (through  the  "digital  out"  audio  jack). 
This  unit  automatically  recognizes  DVDs  that  have  been  recorded  with  Dolby  Digital.
Not  all  Dolby  Digital  sources  are  recorded  with  6  channels.
Some  sources  marked  Dolby  Digital  may  be  recorded  in  Dolby  Surround,  a  2  channel  system. 
Look  for  this  logo  on  your  unit.

Whenever  no  disc  or  disc  stops  for  30  minutes,  the  system  will  be  turned  to  standby  mode 
automatically.
The  Standby  indicator  will  be  turned  on  while  the  unit  is  on  standby  mode.
