CONNECTION TO POWER MAINS
DISCONNECT THE UNIT FROM POWER MAINS PRIOR TO ANY ELECTRIC INSTALLATION
OPERATIONS. CONNECTION TO POWER MAINS MUST BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN DULY AUTHORIZED FOR UNASSISTED ELECTRIC OPERATIONS UP TO 1000 V
AFTER CAREFUL READING OF THE USER’S MANUAL. THE RATED ELECTRICAL PARAMETERS
ARE STATED ON THE RATING PLATE. ANY INTERNAL CONNECTION MODIFICATIONS ARE NOT
ALLOWED AND RESULT IN WARRANTY LOSS.
The models VUT R 400 EH EC and VUT R 700 EH EC are rated for connection to single-phase AC 230 V / 50 Hz power mains. The models
VUT R 900 EH EC, VUT R 1200 EH EC and VUT R 1500 EH EC are rated for connection to three-phase AC 400 V / 50 Hz power mains.
The unit connection to power mains is performed with insulated, durable and heat-resistant conductors (cables, wires) with minimum
cross section 2.5 mm
2
. This conductor section value is tentative. In practice the conductor selection shall be based on the maximum
permissible wire heating depending on the wire type, its insulation, length and installation way.
Use only copper core wires.
Connect the unit to power mains through the terminal block located in the terminal box in compliance with the wiring diagram and
terminal marking. Connect all the control and supply cables in compliance with the terminal marking!
Connect the unit to power mains through the external automatic circuit breaker with magnetic trip integrated into the fi xed wiring
system. The rated current of the circuit breaker must match the unit current consumption, refer page 7.
