IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Read instructions carefully before installation and operation. Keep the
instructions for future reference and hand them over to any new user.
Safety
• VELUX vented dome CVJ and VELUX
replacement kit for ventilation ZCJ 1210 can be
used by persons (aged 8 years and above) with
sufficient experience and knowledge if they
have been given instruction concerning safe use
and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance must not be done by
unsupervised children.
• Children must not play with the dome.
• The dome must only be connected to the mains
supply by a qualified electrician.
• For personal safety, never have your hand or body
out of the dome without switching off the mains
supply.
• The dome does not meet requirements for
emergency escape.
• The dome has a minimum installation height of
2.5 m above any access level.
Note:
In case of installation below this level,
measures must be applied to prevent personal
injury caused by automatic closing.
• It is recommended to place a wall switch in the
room where the dome has been installed.
• Do not operate the dome if repair or adjustment
is required.
• Disconnect the mains supply before carrying out
any maintenance or service work to the dome
and products connected to it and ensure that it
cannot be reconnected unintentionally.
Product
• Do not connect the dome to the mains supply before it has been
completely installed in accordance with the instructions.
• Installation must be carried out in consideration of Health and Safety at
work requirements.
• Installation in rooms with a high level of humidity and with hidden wiring
must comply with current national regulations. Do not install in zone 0, 1
or 2.
• Voltage: 230 V a.c. / 50 Hz. Power: 40 VA.
• Duty cycle: 30 % (max 3 min per 10 min).
• Normal operating temperature: -15 °C to +50 °C.
• Sound pressure level: L
pA
≤ 70 dB(A).
• The dome cannot be manually operated.
• The packaging must be disposed of in accordance with national regula-
tions.

The product, including batteries if any, is regarded as electrical and
electronic equipment and contains hazardous materials, components
and substances. The crossed out wheeled bin symbolises that electrical
and electronic equipment waste must not be disposed of together with
household waste. It must be collected separately at recycling stations or
other collection sites or retrieved directly from households to increase the
possibilities of recycling, reuse and utilisation of electrical and electronic
equipment waste. By sorting electrical and electronic equipment waste
with this symbol, you contribute to reducing the volume of incinerated or
buried waste and to reducing any negative impact on human health and
the environment. Further information can be obtained from the local mu-
nicipality's technical administration or from your VELUX sales company.
• In case of snow and/or ice, the operation of the dome may be blocked.
Maintenance
• If installed and used correctly, the dome requires a minimal amount of
maintenance only.
• Maintenance must be carried out in consideration of Health and Safety at
work requirements.
• Spare parts are available from your VELUX sales company. Please
provide information from the data label.
