Operation
This tool can be used for drilling, sanding and polishing, as well as engraving, cutting
and removing rust in tight spaces. The tool can be used on most metals, glass, wood
and ceramics. For best performance and results, keep the speed as even as possible
without exercising too much pressure. As a guideline, use the tool at low speed for all
large accessories, such as polishing, and at high speed for smaller accessories, such as
those used for engraving. For grinding and engraving, hold the tool as if it were a pen.

Useful Hints and Tips
•
The tool will become warm after prolonged use and must be switched off to cool it
down.
•
To ensure smooth running, periodically oil the shaft.
•
Do not apply too much radial pressure to the accessory bits while polishing,
cleaning, sanding or grinding. By doing this, you will put strain on the shaft and
adversely affect the precision of the tool. Always work with a sensitive touch so as
not to impede the efficiency of the tool.
•
When drilling in metal, always mark the drilling point with a centre punch so that
the drill will not slip.
•
Always ensure that you have maximum contact between the accessory shaft and
the collet.

Start-Up
Never start up the tool if the accessory is in contact with the piece to be worked on.
Hold it firmly and press the on-off switch. The tool will run continuously until the on-off
switch is flicked to the off position. Adjust the speed while the tool is running.
5.3
Speed Adjustment
This tool is equipped with a speed control. The speed switch is located on the rear of the
tool. Turn it slightly to increase or decrease the speed.

Mounting Accessories
Always remove the plug from the mains prior to assembly. Hold the collet lock button
while unscrewing the collet nut and screw the accessory in place. Hold the collet lock
button while you are fastening the collet nut. Do not operate the collet lock button while
the device is still connected with the mains.
5.5
Mounting the Flexible Driver
Remove the housing cap and the collet nut. Partially extract the internal transmission
cable from the flexible driver, insert the cable into the collet and screw the driver onto
the tool. Keep the shaft lock button pressed as you do it.

Mounting Accessories on the Flexible Driver
All accessories can be mounted onto the flexible driver. Follow the same general
procedure for mounting accessories on the tool.
