It is possible to connect the message board to your alarm system so that the device will display
an alarm message when the alarm system is triggered by an intruder. This will enable security
personnel or passers-by to notify the proper authorities. Follow the procedure outlined below in
order to connect your message board to an alarm system.
1. Connect the supplied power cable to the
ALARM
jack on the side of the message board.
2. Connect the cable’s two wires to the N.O. (normally open) terminals of your alarm system.
These terminals should not supply power.
5. Activating the Message Board
Put the "
ON/OFF
" slide switch in the "
ON
"-position in order to activate the device. If no errors
are detected, the message board will display :
Consequently, the display will show the contents of message 1.
The message board always performs this self-test upon activation. The status indicator lights
when a message is shown on the display.
