lithium batteries, as other types and inferior units may not be able to power this
unit satisfactorily.

(2) Microphone Connection—Align Lemo plug on the end of the mic cable with
its mating connector on the transmitter. Push in; the plug is seated when a slight
“click” is heard. To remove the mic plug, grasp the barrel of the Lemo plug with
your thumb and forefinger and pull straight out. The barrel of the Lemo plug is
spring-loaded and will release a locking mechanism inside the connector.

CAUTION: Do not twist the connector when removing the mic from the
transmitter and do not pull on the mic cable.

Controls, Connectors, and Features

Front Panel:

Microphone Connector: The professional-quality Lemo connector allows connection
of a wide variety of lavalier condenser microphones. See paragraphs above for
additional information.

Audio Gain Control: This potentiometer for adjustment of transmitter microphone
preamplifier gain may be adjusted with a small screwdriver. It has approximately 30
dB of range; the control is a linear potentiometer, so careful adjustment is required at
low gain settings.

COMPRESSION/BATTERY-LOW LED: This LED provides a visual indication of
battery condition as well as indicating when the transmitter has reached audio gain
compression. If the LED flashes on when speaking into the mic, the AUDIO GAIN
should be reduced.

Antenna: Models T-677HS and T-677LS come with detachable whip antennas. On
Models T-677H and T-677L, the whip antenna is connected to the case with a
rugged strain-relief boot. The antenna is constructed of long-life flexible wire.

Power Switch: This two-position toggle switch turns the transmitter power “on” and
“off”.

Bottom:

Battery Compartment: The battery cover may be removed by sliding the cover to one
side. A pull tab is provided to eject the used battery.

Operating Instructions

(1) Verify that the associated wireless-microphone receiver is on the exact same
frequency as the T-677 Series PRO PLUS DYNEX®III transmitter to be used.

(2) Set up, adjust, and connect the receiver as described in its instruction manual.

(3) Verify that the transmitter has a fresh battery installed and that the
microphone

is

correctly

attached.

Turn

on

the

transmitter.

If

the

COMPRESSION/BATTERY-LOW LED does not blink on once and then go out,
or if it stays on continually during operation, whether or not audio is being picked
up by the mic, the battery should be replaced with a new, fresh one.

(4) Place the transmitter in a pocket or attach to body or clothing with tape. Keep
the antenna as high as possible.
