Thank you for selecting Vega products. We assure you of our continuing interest
in your satisfaction.

Introduction

Vega wireless microphone systems (radio mics) provide extremely high quality
sound pickup without the annoyance of trailing microphone cables. Our many
years of experience in the design and manufacture of wireless microphones plus
our dedication to professional performance are your assurance that you are using
the finest system of its kind. Vega wireless microphone systems are easy to use.
However, if you are setting up a wireless microphone for the first time, we urge
you to read carefully the manuals furnished with each piece of equipment, and to
consult the manual from time to time as you become more familiar with your
equipment.

This manual has been prepared to acquaint you with the operation and care of
your Vega UHF wireless-microphone system. We urge you to read it carefully
and to follow the recommendations. This will help to assure that you realize the
full performance potential of the equipment and achieve years of reliable, highly
satisfactory operation.

Application

In general, Vega wireless microphone systems are used to provide the same
function as a microphone cable, which provides a circuit from the microphone to
the audio console or amplifier system. A system consists of a transmitter and a
receiver unit. The transmitter requires a plug-in microphone, usually a small clip-
on lavalier type.

The elimination of the microphone cable permits a freedom of movement which
would be unachieveable with wired systems. Staging problems are minimized and
choreography for song and dance becomes much easier. Going wireless allows
the user to concentrate efforts on other aspects of setup and production. Vega
UHF wireless microphones operate in the radio frequency bands of 494 to 608
MHz and 614 to 806 MHz.

T-677 Series PRO PLUS DYNEX®III Transmitters

There are four models of UHF bodypacks included in the T-677 Series PRO
PLUS DYNEX III transmitters. Model T-677H is a high-power (150-mW) unit
with a permanently attached whip antenna. The T-677L is a low-power (30-mW)
transmitter with a permanently attached antenna. Models T-677HS and T-677LS
are identical to Models T-677H and T-677L, except they are provided with
detachable whip antennas.

Compatibility

The Vega T-677 Series PRO PLUS DYNEX®III bodypack UHF transmitters are
designed to work with Vega's Model R-662 PRO PLUS DYNEX®III UHF
diversity receiver. If the transmitter was not purchased with the receiver, it is not
necessarily compatible. If you are not certain that the receiver and the transmitter
are compatible, contact the Vega factory or your Vega sales representative.
Generally speaking, Vega transmitters will not function properly with receivers
manufactured by other companies. The T-677 Series PRO PLUS DYNEX®III
transmitter is designed to work in the 494 to 608 MHz and 614 to 806 MHz
ranges and must be precisely matched to the frequency of the associated receiver.
