Installation
1. The duct heater is not to be placed directly under a wall socket.
2. The heater is designed for insertion in a standard spiral duct. Use screws to secure the heater to the ducting.
3. Air flow through the heater must go in the direction of the arrow on the side of the junction box.
4. The duct heater can be mounted in a horizontal or vertical duct. Only install the heater in ducts that are made of
inflammable and temperature-resistant material. The junction box can be positioned on the top or within 90°
to the side. Installation with the junction box below is NOT allowed.
5. Fit the duct inlet to the room with a well-secured grille or air supply device to prevent contact with the heating
element.
6. A warning text regarding not covering the heater should be placed next to the outlet air opening.
7. The distance from or to a duct bracket, damper, filter or the like must be at least the same as double the duct
diameter, to avoid the risk of disrupting the air flow through the heater, which can cause the overheating protection
to cut out. Example: CV 16 gives a distance of at least 320 mm, CV 40 at least 800 mm, and so on.
8. The heater must be insulated in accordance with applicable regulations for ventilation ducts. The insulation must
consist of fireproof insulation material. Insulation must not cover the specification plate, and the cover must be
removable. Neither can the insulation cover the cooling flanges or the side of the junction box on which the
semiconductors (Triac) are mounted on.
9. The heater must be accessible for replacement and inspections.
10. The distance from the heater's metal surface to wood or other flammable material may NOT be less than 30 mm.
Maintenance
Normally, no maintenance is required, with the exception of periodic function testing.
Overheating
1. If the manually reset overheating protection is triggered, the following must be taken into consideration:
Only an authorised electrician can open the cover to the junction box.
2. Disconnect from mains electricity.
3. Thoroughly investigate the cause for the overheating protection being triggered.
4. When the fault has been rectified, the overheating protection may be reset.
