Volume, Colour, Contrast
and Brightness
The volume, colour, contrast and brightness
settings can be adjusted in “STOP” mode
only.

Press the ANGLE button once or more
than once to activate the desired
control.
☞
Adjust the volume, colour, contrast or
brightness setting with the
<
and
>
buttons.
☞
Press the DISPLAY button to recover the
default settings (except volume).
Notes:
For MP3 discs, the above modes cannot be
adjusted.
When the sum of the contrast value and
brightness value is 29, it is prohibited
increasing.
Do not adjust the contrast and brightness
level too high.

In STOP mode:

The initial SETUP menu is displayed.

This setup page includes all the items of
TV display & audio output. For details

SPEAKER SETUP
This is to activate the audio output from
DOLBY AC3 5.1 DOWNMIX to 2 channel
mode. Please refer to “SPEAKER SETUP
MENU”.

AUDIO SETUP
This setup page includes all the items for
AUDIO. Please refer to “AUDIO SETUP
MENU”.
❏
PREFERENCES
This setup page includes all other
configuration items of the player. For
details please refer to “PREFERENCES
SETUP MENU”.
GENERAL SETUP
■
TV DISPLAY
This is to select the appropriate TV aspect
(4:3 or 16:9) according to the connected TV
set.
❏
NORMAL/PS (For 4:3 TV)
Played back in the PAN & SCAN style.
(If connected to wide-screen TV, the left
and right edges are cut off.)
❏
NORMAL/LB (For 4:3 TV)
Played back in letterbox style.
(If connected to wide-screen TV, black
bands appear at top and bottom of the
screen.)
❏
WIDE (For 16:9 TV)
Select when a wide-screen TV set is
connected.
■ TV TYPE
This player can play discs recorded in either
PAL or NTSC format.
❏
Select MULTI format, if the connected
TV supports PAL and NTSC.
❏
Select NTSC format, if the connected TV
supports NTSC.
❏ Select PAL format, if the connected TV
supports PAL.
■
PIC MODE
❏ If you select AUTO , the player PIC mode
will depend on the DVD disc.
❏ Select HI-RES format for best image
resolution.
❏
Select N-FLICKER format if flickering
noise appears.
■ ANGLE MARK
❏
Select ON , if you want to display the
angle mark “
a
” when a multi-angle
DVD disc is playing.
❏ Select OFF , if you do not wish to display
the angle mark on the screen.
