event of an alarm.
With the setting

, the VIP establishes an automatic connection to
a remote location as long as an alarm signal is present at the alarm input 1.
Connection type in the event of an alarm (VIP 1000 only):
Here you can select the transmission standard for the alarm connection to the
specified IP address dependent on the environment used (network
configuration). In doing so, consider the settings used for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4
(refer to page 40).
Number of video receiver addresses:
The VIP can store up to 10 IP addresses to contact in response to an alarm. In
case of an alarm, if the first IP address cannot be reached, the others will be tried
in sequence until a connection can be established. Select the contact priority of
the IP address here.
Alarm IP address:
Enter the IP address with which a connection is to be established in the event of
an alarm.
Remote password:
Enter the password for the remote device (if it has one) that is to be contacted in
response to an alarm.
Live video auto-connect:
Select

here if an active connection should be established after each reboot,
for example following a connection failure or power failure.
