Hardware connections
between VideoJet Units
A VideoJet 1000 with connected camera as a transmitter and a
VideoJet 1000 with connected monitor as a receiver can be linked
simply together over an Ethernet network. It is thus possible to link
large distances with little installation or cabling effort.
Installation With the appropriate configuration the VideoJet 1000 units can
automatically establish a connection with each other. This assumes
that, as a minimum, they are linked into a closed network. To install
the units proceed as follows:

Connect the units using Ethernet cables into the closed network.

Connect power to the units.
Connection setup It is possible to configure the connection using either Terminal soft-
ware or by appropriate configuration via the alarm input. After a
brief pause, the live image from the camera will be displayed on the
connected monitor.
Note
Make sure the units are configured for the characteristics of the net-
work environment and that the transmitting unit, under the parame-
ter
Live video receiver IP address, is set for the IP address of the
receiver (page Alarm connections ).
Note
It is only possible to establish the connection using the alarm input
if the parameter
Connect on alarm is set to On on the configuration
page Alarm connections (see page 66).
