D o not unplug the appliance by pulling on the pow er cable: grip the plug and not the cable. D o not touch the
cable or the appliance w ith w et hands.
If your appliance has a cable rew ind, alw ays hold the plug w hile rew inding the cable. D o not let the cable flap
around as you rew ind.
Attachm ents, hoses and floor attachm ents m ust not be used at head height as there is a risk of injury to eyes
or ears.
Alw ays keep hair, clothing, fingers and all other body parts w ell aw ay from openings and m oving parts.
Set the sw itch to O FF after use.
Take special care w hen cleaning stairs
hen using this appliance w ith an accessory alw ays rem ove the plug from the electric socket before attaching
any rotating brush. In any case, never touch the rotating brush w hile it is operating.
D o not pass attachm ents over the appliance pow er cable or any extension lead.
D o not clean up sharp objects.
Alw ays sw itch off the appliance before fitting or rem oving the hose.
The poles in the plug and the contacts in the pow er socket m ust never com e into contact w ith w ater. These
parts can only be w iped clean w ith a dry cloth and m ust not be allow ed to com e into contact w ith m oisture.
D anger of electric shock.
O nly w ipe the appliance clean w ith a dry (or very slightly dam p) cloth w hile it is unplugged. N ever place the
appliance in w ater.
N ever clean up anything that is burning or sm oking, such as cigarettes, m atches, hot ash, etc.
N ever use the vacuum cleaner to clean up flam m able or com bustible liquids such as petrol and never use the
appliance in areas w here the fum es of such liquids m ight be present.
N ever place any item s in the appliance openings. N ever use the vacuum cleaner w ith openings blocked in any
w ay; keep them free from dust, fluff, hair and anything else that m ight reduce air flow .
D o not clean up toner pow der. The toner used in printers and copiers can conduct electricity.
D o not use the vacuum cleaner w ithout a dust bag and/or w ithout the filters in place. D ust bags need to be
disposed of and can be used only once. D o not try to re-use them
If your vacuum cleaner has a blow er function, do not use it to operate paint spraying or other sim ilar
equipm ent that em its volatile or toxic fum es.
