3. How to Assemble
Slide fully retracted extension wand and handle into the
slot until you hear a click (see Fig.3/1).
Snap hose into hose guide down the back of the cleaner (see
Fig.3/2).
Tool Storage:
Attach tools: (a) Slide the 2-in1 tool onto post on the
caddy with bristles facing out. (b) Clip TurboTool into the
caddy on the front of the handle. (c) Slot the crevice tool
into the space behind the power cord (when the cord is
stored on the wraps). (Fig.3/3).
4. How to Operate
Cord Release:
Turn quick release cord wrap 180 degrees for easy cord
removal. Store cord around cord wraps to keep out of the
way while vacuuming (see Fig.4/1).
Turn the carpet height adjuster to match the surface being
cleaned (Fig.4/2).
IMPORTANT: For easiest adjustment, place cleaner in
full upright position.
WARNING:
The brush bar must NOT be rotating
when cleaning hard floors. Switch the brush bar
off to prevent damage to lino, parquet and other hard
flooring.
NOTE:
As a precaution Vax recommends that you
raise the Brush Bar as well as switching it off for use
on lino and hard floorings
On/Off Button:
Located on the right shoulder, as you look the cleaner front
on. Turn vacuum on by depressing button after plugging
cord into electrical outlet.
Handle Release Pedal:
To release the handle, push the handle release pedal
located on the lower left side of the cleaner when looking
at the back of the cleaner (Fig.4/3).
