ool holder preparation
1.
Referring to the table of adapters (Fig. 1) (“CD-14500 adaptor compatibilities.pdf”), choose
guide n° 1 and the two adapters n° 2 and n° 3 corresponding to your wheel axle.
2.
If your brake mounts are in International Standard, screw the tool pin n ° 4 into the holder
n° 5 in the space provided for the International Standard (Fig. 2). Otherwise, screw into the
thread for Flat Mount and Rear Mount (Fig. 3).
3.
Position the guide n° 1 into the support n° 4. Then screw the adapters n° 2 and n° 3 at the
extremity of the guide.
4.
Place the support on the wheel axle. For thru axles, use the wheel axle to fix the support.
Tool preparation
1.
Depending on your type of brake mount, choose the appropriate number 6 cutter set.
Usually, use the large cutters for the Flat Mount and the Rear Mount.
2.
To change the cutters, unscrew the screws n° 7. Be careful not to lose the spacer. Then screw
the good cutters
3.
Position the mobile cutter according to your brake seats. Unscrew the small blue knob n°8 to
make it mobile. Once placed, tighten the blue knob.
4.
Place the tool on its support using axis No. 4. Adjust the location of the tool to center the
cutters in the bearings. Play on the position of the support n ° 5 relative to the guide n ° 1.
Tighten the knob of the support n ° 9 to lock the position of the support
Use
1.
IMPORTANT: Put the cutting oil CD-77000 on the surface to cut easily and protect the
cutters.
2.
Hold the tool with one hand.
3.
With the other hand, turn the black wheel n°10.
Tip: to check the machining, colour the surface before machining. The surface will be perfectly
machined when there are no more traces of pencil.
