CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is intended for home use as a
steam generator as described and in accor-
dance with the instructions provided in this man-
ual. Please read these instructions carefully and
keep them, as you may find them useful in the
future.

FORMITY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS CON-
TAINED IN THIS BOOKLET.
IMPORTANT
Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. Your Vaporetto may contain
some residual water in the boiler tank from the
factory testing.
PREPARATION FOR USE
Steam may cause serious injury if in
contact with body parts. Always allow the
steamer to cool down before handling.
To reduce the risk of personal injury
unplug the power cord from the electrical
outlet and let the appliance and the
accessories cool down completely before
handling
Always make sure that the appliance is
unplugged before performing
maintenance work of any kind, including
adding water or cleaning the appliance.
1. Unscrew the safety cap (
A
) (Fig.1) and fill
the boiler tank with 25 fl oz (0.75 L) of water,
using the jug (
10
) and the funnel (
9
) provided
for this purpose (Fig.2).
NOTICE:
ordinary tap water may be used.
However since water contains limestone by
nature, which may cause scaling in the long
run, we recommend using a mixture of 50%
tap water and 50% distilled water or bottled
spring water. Never use 100% distilled water
or bottled spring water but always mix them
with 50% tap water.
2. Screw the cap firmly back into place with
care.
Make sure that the safety cap (A) is
correctly screwed on, otherwise steam
could leak out.
3. Hook the shoulder strap for carrying the
device (
13
) into the two eyelets (
G
) (Fig.3).
4. Open the door of the one-piece socket (
E
);
insert the moulded plug (
3
) until a click is
heard (Fig. 4). Make sure that it is firmly
connected before proceeding any further. To
release the hose, simply press the release
key (
E1
) and at the same time remove the
moulded plug (
3
).
5. Connect the power supply cable (
F
) into
an
electrical outlet
of the correct voltage.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
1a. Press the ON/OFF switch (
B
). The ON lamp
(
C
) and the steam pressure indicator lamp
(
D
) will both light up.
2a. Wait for the steam pressure indicator lamp
(
D
) to extinguish (about 5 minutes).
Vaporetto is now ready for use.
3a. The steam sprayer (
2
) has a safety button
(
2A
) that prevents accidental activation of
the steam delivery system by a child or other
persons unaware of how the device works.
To prevent the accidental output of steam
press the safety button (
2A
). To resume
delivery press the safety button (
2A
) in the
opposite direction and operate the steam
control lever (
4
) (Fig. 5).
The first jet of steam may contain some
water droplets, due to imperfect thermic
stabilization inside the flexible hose. We
would therefore advise that the first jet of
steam is sprayed onto an old cloth until a
constant steam flow is obtained.
Note: The steam pressure indicator lamp (D)
may go on and off from time to time during
use of Vaporetto, this is quite normal
If you press the steam request lever (
4
) when
the appliance is still under pressure, even if it is
off and not connected to the wiring system, you
may still experience steam escaping from the
flexible hose.
So when you switch off the appliance, before
