01/00 Description of the Airplane and its Systems

7–65

Also, the flight director function tightly integrates with the
autopilot and allows complete and convenient control over
all flight guidance functions from the EFIS.
For this link to work correctly, the ARINC-429 extender box
needs to be powered, fed through the “Aux Box” circuit.
Also, the audio warning output from the EFIS is wired into
the intercom through the AP-60 audio mixer, which in turn
is powered through the “Aux Box” circuit as well.

For a detailed description of features, it is highly
recommended to study the most current Advanced Flight
Systems 3400SV Manuals. Also, the system is continually
being supported, with new software releases introducing
ever more functions.
