1. Purpose
Chase moles and voles from your property the
animal-friendly way, without the use of harmful poi-
sons, traps, etc. This device acts as a Repeller for
undesirable moles by emitting strong underground
vibrations that the sensitive rodents pick up on.
Various intervals ensure that the animals do not get
used to the vibrations.
Depending on the substrate, the mole Repeller
effectively covers an area of up to 1250 m

. Other
organisms living in the ground, such as worms, are
not affected by the device.
The vibrations emitted by the MVT-1 are harmless
to humans and pets. The device is easy to install
and weatherproof. The integrated battery system
ensures that you can place the device wherever you
like and do not have to worry about aspects such as
sunlight or shade.
Acts as a Repeller for moles, voles and other critters using
an animal-friendly method, without poison or traps
Effective due to wide-ranging vibrations transmitted
underground via a 20 mm engine with a striking mechanism
Does not affect children or pets
Changing intervals prevent habituation effects
High-quality, weatherproof tube made from aluminium;
secure clasp with device cover over screw thread
Ground spike and battery cover made from ABS plastic
Practical and inconspicuous positioning possible thanks to battery
operation
Batteries last up to 6 months
Suitable for outdoor use (IP55)
Please carefully read this manual in its entirety before installing and using the device. Keep this
manual for your records and as a reference. If you hand over this device to be used by another
person, be sure to include this user manual.
You can increase the chances of successfully deterring the animals by placing the
device in a strategic location. Use multiple devices to maximise your chances of
success by systematically chasing the animals from your property.
Ensure that you place the devices so that the animals you want to keep away
are not trapped on your property. To do this, simply insert the mole Repeller
into the ground between the wall of your house and the closest mole mound
(see Figure 1).
About every two weeks, move the mole Repeller away from your house and
closer to your property line. You should move the device as soon as you can
see that the mole mounds begin to appear further away from the house (see
Figure 2).
If the mole mounds have not moved within 4 weeks, please ensure that the
device is working properly (see section 5 in this manual).
Follow the gradually moving mole mounds by regularly moving the devices
until there are no longer any mounds on your property. Keep the devices in
operation at the property line to ensure that the animals keep away from
your property.
How long it takes for the mole mounds to move varies and can be influenced
by factors such as substrate condition. Foundations and concrete slabs can
also limit the effectiveness of the devices.
The Mole Repeller MVT-1 is intended to be used to chase away animals such as
moles and voles in a harmless fashion. It operates on three LR20 primary bat-
teries (mono/D). Any other use is not in accordance with the intended purpose
and leads to exclusion of warranty and liability. This includes modifications and
changes to the device.
2. Proper Use
6. Practical Tips
4. Operating and Safety Instructions
Do not leave packaging material lying around. Plastic foils/bags,
polystyrene parts, etc. can become a hazardous toy to children.
The device is not a toy.
Only use the device with the power supply listed in the technical data section.
Do not mix used and new batteries. Remove batteries when device is not in use.
Do not mount in areas susceptible to flooding.
5. Installation and Operating Instructions
Open the battery compartment by unscrewing the green cap. Take the tray
out and insert three alkaline batteries (size mono/D) in the correct orienta-
tion (see above).
Close the green cap and completely screw it on.
Once you have correctly inserted the batteries, you hear the first vibrations
after approx. 45 s.
If you do not hear any vibrations, please verify that the batteries are cor-
rectly inserted.
Prepare the ground prior to installing the device. For instance, pound a
wooden post into the ground to create a hole. The depth should correspond
to the length of the spike (around 300 mm).
Do not use the device to dig a hole or you might damage the ground spike
in the process.
Completely insert the device into the prepared hole such that only the green
cap is visible above ground to facilitate battery replacements. On a lawn
that is mown regularly, you can also insert the device completely into the
soil to prevent the mower blades from damaging the device. In this case,
memorise the exact location of the device to be able to return to it later to
replace the batteries.
Firmly pat down the soil around the device. The more compact and harder
the substrate around the aluminium tube, the better the vibrations can
travel through the soil.
The device can be inserted into all types of substrates. It is particularly ef-
fective in denser/heavier substrate (e.g. clay) as the vibrations travel better.
In lighter substrate (e.g. sand), the vibrations are not transmitted as well,
which has a smaller deterring effect on the animals.
Replace the batteries every 4 to 6 months.
Remove the device from the soil when there is a chance of frost or risk of
flooding to prevent damages to the device. In the winter months, moles and
voles are much less active, therefore you can temporarily remove the device
and reuse it in the spring.
MOLE REPELLER MVT-1
Article No.: VAN000501
User Manual
The Mole Repeller MVT-2 emits strong vibrations at random intervals (every
20–50 s) which travel through the substrate and act as a Deterrent for moles and
voles. While the device does not prevent the presence of the animals, it ensures
that they prefer other areas. Thus, they will avoid any areas within range of the
noise emitted by the device. How well the vibrations travel depends on the sub-
strate condition and the number of devices in operation. Multiple, strategically
placed devices are more likely to have a deterring effect.
Important:
Animals react differently to the device, which is why it is not guaranteed that the
animals are deterred in every instance.
However, a strategic placement (see section 6 in this manual) of the device usually
results in the animals leaving the area.
3. How It Works
We do not assume any liability for damages to property or personal injury
due to improper handling or for non-observance of the safety and operating
instructions. In such cases, all warranty claims expire.
We do not assume any liability for further damages. Do not open the device, do
not attempt any repairs and do not make any modifications or changes – this will
result in loss of warranty. We do not assume any liability for further damages.
