4.2
Bending and/or reaching
It is possible that you need to grab something when you are in the scooter. This can be something next to you, but
also in front of or behind you. To prevent tipping over or falling out of your scooter, we have described how you can
best bend and or reach in your scooter.
4.2.1
Bending and/or reaching forward
When you want to get something that is in front or your scooter, you should follow the steps below;
•
Make sure you are as close to the object as possible with your scooter;
•
Make sure the wheels of the scooter are all in a forward direction;
•
Turn off the scooter so the motor brake engages;
•
You can now bend forward without the risk of loosing balance.

4.2.2
Bending and/or reaching to the side
If you want to get something that is to the side of your scooter, you should follow the steps below;
•
Make sure you are as close to the object as possible with your scooter;
•
Make sure the wheels of the scooter are all in a forward direction;
•
Turn off the scooter so the motor brake engages;
•
You can now bend to the side without the risk of losing balance. Make sure that, when lifting, move as close to
the scooter as possible
4.2.3
Bending and/or reaching backwards
If you want to get something that is behind your scooter, you should follow the steps below;
•
Make sure you are as close to the object as possible with your scooter;
•
Turn off the scooter so the motor brake engages;
•
You can now bend backwards without the risk of losing balance.
4.3
Going up- and down inclines
It is possible you have to go up or down an incline with your scooter. In this manual we describe how you can do
this independently.
Tip
Make sure you inspect the incline before negotiating. That way you will know what to expect and you can safely go
upwards or downwards.
