6.10 

The wheels 

Check your wheelchair’s front and rear tyres regularly for wear. 

6.10.1 

The front wheels 

The front wheels of the wheelchair are 8” and attached to the frame with a front fork. The front wheels are 

important in maneuvering the wheelchair. When this does not go smoothly, or if the castors shake, they might not 

be adjusted correctly. 

6.10.2 

The rear wheels 

The rear wheels of the Excel G-Nexx have 12½” PU tyres. These tyres are puncture proof and do not need to be 

inflated. The rear wheels can be removed easily with the help of the Quick Release system. By pressing the black 

button, you can take off the wheel.
