Installation Planning
Installer—READ THIS FIRST
1. YOU NEED TO KNOW FROM THE
HOMEOWNER:
- The height of the fl oor or hearth fi nish;
- The thickness and type of the wall fi nish
around the fi rebox opening;
- What accessories (trim, decorative lighting,
remote control wall switch, etc.) will be
installed with this fi replace;
- The venting confi guration.
2. Unpack the appliance.
3. Check that you have everything.
4. Finish the framing.
5. If you are using the 1376CSK Clean Surround
Installation Kit, install it now.
6. Fit the appliance into framing.
7. Fix the appliance to the framing.
8. Install the venting system.
9. Position the restrictor.
10. Connect and test the gas supply.
11. Install the ceramic liners, fuel bed and rocks.
12. Re
fi
t the window.
13. Connect the electrical wiring for optional decorative
light if used.
14. Install the optional wall switch if required.
15. Put the batteries in receiver and remote control
handset.
16. Initialize the remote control system.

17. Verify the operation and adjust aeration settings.
18. Install the remote control handset wall holder.
19. Instruct the homeowner on the operation and
maintenance of the fi replace.
20. Install the Trim Kit if required.
21. Finish the wall around the
fi
replace.
