Barrier Screen

A barrier screen is supplied with this appliance to install 

on the RetroFire window cover. The barrier screen is 

designed speci

fi

cally to prevent any contact with the 

glass of the 

fi

replace which becomes very hot during 

operation and remains hot when cooling.
It is easier to install the screen on the window cover 

fi

rst, before hooking the window cover to the 

fi

replace.

1.  Hook the top of the screen by inserting its tabs into 

the slots in the window cover.

2.  Push the screen up and insert the lower tabs into 

the slots of the window cover. Pull the screen down 

to ensure the lower tabs are well inserted.

Hook the window cover with sceen attached to the top 

of the 

fi

rebox. Push the bottom against the 

fi

rebox to 

attach the magnets.

Top Vent Shield (if necessary)

The top vent shield is designed to install on top of the 

fi

rebox in front of the vent plate to hide the vent plate 

and vent liners when visible.
Cut the top of the vent shield to size if necessary and 

place it in front of the vent plate as indicated.
