Install Appliance with 1430 Clean Installation Kit
The frame
fi
xing brackets provided loose with the
appliance are not needed with this kit.
The positioning brackets, convection gap
fi
ller brackets
and trim spport brackets installed on the appliance
are not needed with this kit and must be removed as
indicated below.
Hearth considerations
You need to know whether there will be a hearth or
not in front of the appliance and some rules must be
considered:
Without hearth (up the wall)
In the case where there is no hearth, the bottom of the
appliance must be raised at least 4 inches above any
exposed combustible
fl
oor in front. See

With hearth
Hearths or any exposed surface directly in front of the
appliance,
raised above the bottom of the appliance
(max. 1-5/8” thick), or located within 4" vertically
below the bottom of the appliance
will need to be
constructed of non-combustible material and must
include the 1/2"
Micore
insulation board provided to
be used as a thermal break between non-combustible
and combustible material underneath. See
Finishing
with hearth
diagram on previous page and appliance's
Installation Manual for more information.
Raising the appliance further will help reduce
fl
oor
temperatures.
Installation at time of framing
Prepare the appliance
1. On top of the appliance's case in front of the stand-
o
ff
s, remove the positioning brackets (2 screws each).
2. On top, on each side of the window, remove the
convection brackets (1 nut/side).
3. On each side of the
fi
rebox, remove, from outside of
the appliance's case, four brackets which are used
with other fronts (2 screws each).
Installation
1. Align the appliance with the cavity, and push it in
until the front face is
fl
ush with the studs.
2. Install the lower panel securing it to the three studs
at the base of the appliance (3 nuts supplied).
