16) Do not tilt or lift the machine to carry out the starting maneuver,
if this is not strictly necessary for the starting itself. In any case,
tilt it only by the minimum amount necessary and on the side
furthest from the operator.
17) Never approach or put your feet or hands near or under the rotating
parts of the machine or in the grass discharge opening when the
engine is running or the tines have not completely stopped (Fig.S).
18) Always keep the grass discharge opening free and clean.
19) Turn off the engine, unplug the plug and wait for the tines to stop
when: clean or unclog the grass discharge, do not use the ma-
chine, leave it unattended, carry out any maintenance or cleaning
operation, the tools hit a foreign body during work, the machine
vibrates abnormally.
20) Always check the efficiency and integrity of the machine because
it can cause danger for those who use it. Keep the bolts tight to
ensure safe operation.
21) Never use the machine if there are damaged crankcases or safety
devices are missing.
22) Block the rotating parts if the machine needs to be tilted to be
transported. Do not operate the machine when crossing surfaces
other than grass and during transport to and from the work area.
23) Never lift or transport the machine while the engine is running.
24) Frequently check the state of wear or damage of the grass catcher
(if present)
25) To reduce the risk of fire, before storing the machine, wait until the
engine has cooled down, clean it of leaves and grass and store
it in a dry, clean place not accessible to children.
26) Maintain the safety distance given by the handle.
27) Before removing the grass catcher (if present), turn off the engine
and wait for the tools to stop.
28) Never lose your balance, always maintain your balance and se-
cure footing, do not work on slopes, do not run but walk slowly.
29) Do not touch dangerous moving parts before the machine is di-
sconnected from the electricity supply and the dangerous moving
parts have completely stopped.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
1) The power supply voltage must correspond to that declared on the
technical data plate. Do not use any other type of power supply.
2) It is recommended to connect the machine only to a power sup-
ply circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) with an
intervention current not exceeding 30 or with a value according
to the regulations in force in the country of use; consult your
trusted electrician.
3) Use an extension cable approved for outdoor use, with a cable
section, socket and plug type suitable for the power of the ma-
chine; consult your trusted electrician.
Power cords must not be lighter than:
- if with rubber insulation: flexible cables with ordinary polychloro-
prene covering (designation H05 RN-F);
- if with polyvinyl chloride insulation: flexible cable with ordinary
polyvinyl chloride covering (designation H05 VV-F).
4) Do not use extension cables with signs of wear or aging as they
represent a fatal risk.
5) Never pass over the power cable with the machine running because
you could cut it. Be aware of its position at all times.
6) Use the specific cable hook to connect the extension.
7) Do not use the machine in case of rain, in adverse weather con-
ditions, especially when there is a risk of lightning; on surfaces
and in humid environments or with wet grass.
8) Avoid body contact with earthed or earthed surfaces such as
gates, fences, pipes... .
9) Children must be kept away from appliances connected to the
electrical mains.
This machine is built with a double insulation system. The double
insulation offers greater electrical safety and does not require the
machine to be earthed.
10) Always disconnect the power supply (remove the plug from the
mains) in the following cases:
- every time the machine is abandoned by the user
- before deleting a block
- before checking, cleaning or working on the machine
- after hitting a foreign object to inspect the machine for any damage
- if the machine begins to vibrate abnormally, check it immediately.
11) Do not connect a damaged cable to the power supply or touch a
damaged cable before it is disconnected from the power supply
because damaged cables can lead to contact with live parts;
12) If the power cord or extension cord becomes damaged or
entangled, immediately disconnect the extension plug from the
power supply.
SAFETY WARNINGS FOR NOISE AND VIBRA-
TIONS
The noise and vibration levels reported are average values for use of
the machine. The use of an unbalanced cutting element, excessive
movement speed, lack of maintenance significantly influence noise
emissions and vibrations. Consequently, adopt all preventive mea-
sures to eliminate possible damage due to high noise and vibration
stress; wear noise-reducing headphones and anti-vibration gloves,
take breaks during work, keep the machine and cutting element
efficient, level the ground.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even using the machine following all the instructions, it is not possible
to eliminate all residual risk factors.
However, the following dangers may exist:
1. Damage to hearing if adequate hearing protection is not used
2. Damage to health caused by hand-arm vibration if the machine is
used for a prolonged period or is not properly operated and handled.
3. Attention! This machine generates an electromagnetic field during
operation. This field may in some circumstances interfere with
active and passive medical devices. To prevent any form of risk,
we advise people with medical devices to consult their doctor and
the manufacturer of the medical device before using this machine.
COMMISSIONING
The machine can be supplied with some components dismantled.
Remove the machine and the components supplied disassembled
from the packaging and proceed with their assembly as illustrated
in figure C to L.
During the component assembly phases, the power cord must be
disconnected from the electrical socket and the tools stopped. Before
starting the machine, check the solidity of the assembly.
Warning: It is necessary to completely assemble the machine
before starting it for the first time.
HANDLE/GRIP ASSEMBLY.
- Unscrew the height adjustment knobs (fig.C pos.9) (if already
assembled)
- Fit the lower handle (fig.D-E pos.8) making sure that the wall (4a)
enters the opposite groove (4b) respectively.
- Screw the handle knob (fig.E pos.9)
- Connect the upper handle (3) and the central handle (6) to the lower
handles (8) (see fig. F) for this purpose use the four tensioning
levers (Fig.G pos.5), the fixing screws (5a) and the washers (5b).
- Secure the switch cable with the two cable clips (C) to the handle.

ASSEMBLY OF THE GRASS COLLECTOR BASKET (fig.I-L-M)
Slide the collection basket (pos.7 fig.I) ) onto the iron frame and hook
it by pressing the rubber tabs on it (fig.L) .
