5.6.4 

XYZ FORMAT FILES 

Like the Valeport format files, XYZ files may be viewed in either a list or graphical format.  Two XYZ files will be created 

for each data file, one for the High Frequency data (_____XZH.nnn) and one for Low Frequency data (_____XZL.nnn).  

To open the data from either file, click the “View Translated HF XYZ File” or  “V View Translated LF XYZ File” as 

appropriate.   

 

To view the text data of the XYZ file, click the “XYZ data“ tab.  Again, this data may be copied and pasted into other 

packages, but cannot presently be edited. 

 

 

To view a 3D plot of the survey, click the “XYZ plot” tab. 

 

 

This graph shows the plot of the survey, with the X axis corresponding to Eastings, the Y axis to Northings, and the Z 

axis to Depth.  The function buttons allow the graph to be rotated and zoomed, as well as printed, copied to clipboard 

and saved as a bitmap.  Reset plot returns to original view.
