First the system asks for a new password:
CONF. PASSWORD (4 CHARACTERS MAX)
This question is asked, when there is no valid password. If updating is
requested by the N parameter and an empty line is given as an answer,
the password is removed. Otherwise, the user gives a new password to
the system.
