3 Operation

3.4 Frost protection
Please keep your atmoSTOR VGH classic in operation if
there is a danger of frost in the installation room. If you
do not want to do so, you will have to drain it after shut-
ting down. For draining, please proceed as follows:
• close the cold water shut-off valves
• close the gas shut-off valves
• completely drain the cylinder via the drain situated in
the cold water feed
• when draining the appliance, open a warm water tap in
order to avoid negative pressure in the appliance and
drain it completely

3.5 Care and maintenance
Please use a damp cloth possibly with a little soap to
clean the outer parts of the atmoSTOR VGH classic. In
order to avoid damages to your appliance, do not use
abrasive or solving detergents (abrasives of all kinds,
gasoline etc.).
3.6 Restart after a fault
In case that, due to a misfunction, the atmoSTOR VGH
classic does not go automatically into operation, you
may restart it once. Turn the knob to the off-position (
•
).
Then wait about 1 min. and restart the appliance as
described in chapter 3.1.
Attention!
In case the appliance is cut off repeatedly, a
dangerous situation may exist.
Therefore, switch off the appliance and close the gas
shut-off valve. Contact your qualified fitter to eliminate
the fault.
3.7 Restart after a shut-off caused by the flue sensor
(if existing)

The atmoSTOR VGH classic can be equipped with a flue
sensor offered as Vaillant accessory (art. n° 000675)
which automatically cuts off the burner when flue gas
leaks into the installation room. This may happen in case
of adverse wind conditions or temporary faults in the
flue gas system. If the shut-off happens once, you can
relight the burner as follows:
• press pin (1) at the flue sensor
• restart the appliance as described in chapter „Light
burner“
Attention!
Cutting off the appliance replatedly can lead to
a dangerous situation.
Therefore, switch off the appliance and close the gas
shut-off valve. Contact your qualified fitter to eliminate
the fault.
