Belt Installation
1. Install the belts over the blower bearing onto the blower sheaves.
2. Slide the pillow block bearing housing onto the bearing.
NOTE: Be sure the same amount of shims that were removed are reinstalled under the pillow block bearing.
3. Reinstall the pin which holds the bearing housing to the bearing.
4. Reinstall the fitting and the grease line to the pillow block bearing.
5. Reinstall and tighten the two 5/8" bolts holding the pillow block bearing to the blower frame.
NOTE: Be sure to install the same shims removed and that the bearing housing is tight against the adjustment
bolt.
6. Slide the other end of the belts under the rear jackshaft bearing and over the lower sheave.
7. Reinstall the two 5/8" bolts holding the rear jackshaft pillow block bearing to the drive bearing weldment.
8. Tighten the four 5/8" bolts holding the front and rear jackshaft pillow block bearings to the drive bearing
weldment.
NOTE: Make sure that both bearing housings are tight against the adjusting bolts.
9. Making sure the bolts are in the grooves of the jackshaft sheave, lower the drive bearing weldment down to rest
on the belts.
10. Swing the two turnbuckles back in place and install the two 5/8" bolts.
11. Remove the chain or comealong used to raise the bearing drive weldment.
12. Adjust the belts as per Section B.
13. Tighten the jam nuts on both turnbuckles.
14. Tighten the two 1" bolts holding the drive bearing weldment to the frame.
15. Tighten the four 5/8" bolts holding both ends of the turnbuckles.
16. Reinstall the blower belt guards.
17. Reinstall the switch key in the truck chassis ignition, start the engine and engage the
blower.
18. Visually check for excessive belt slap and readjust if necessary.
SAFETY NOTE:
NEVER
run the blower without the belt guards in place.
