7 Food probe
7.1 Positioning the food probe
➤
Insert the food probe 1 into the meat
so that the tip is in the centre of the
thickest part. The food probe
1 must
as far as possible be completely
covered by the meat in order to get
a correct reading.
The socket 3 for the food probe is on the right-hand side wall of the cooking
space. Both the plug and the socket are without current.

Always keep the plug 2 clean.
➤
Flip back the cover and insert the plug 2 into the socket 3 .
Only use the food probe supplied. Do not clean the food probe in
the dishwasher.
Reliable readings are only possible for thick, compact cuts of the
meat; if necessary, tie the meat up.
Do not position the food probe next to a bone or in fat.
With poultry, the food probe should be inserted into the inside of the
leg.
