10.3 Noise measurement
The measurement is to be carried out in accordance with the European Norm
on airborne acoustical noise IEC 60704.

Install the appliance (see Installation Instructions).

For relevant appliances, screw the slide plate to the floor at the front and
back.
➤
Feed the inlet and drain hose into and then out of the test cabinet (see
Installation Instructions). Seal the opening around the hoses and cable in
accordance with the norm.

Fit a 19 mm thick chipboard (density: >750 kg/m³) to the appliance door
as a decorative plate. The decorative plate must reach down to the floor,
with an air gap of max. 2 mm. The lateral distance may not exceed 2 mm.
Appliances with an adjustable plinth are built in without this.

To level out any unevenness between the test cabinet and the floor, seal
any gaps between them.

As described in the norm, the measurement is to be carried out without
detergent and rinse agent. Turn rinse agent dosage off (see
U
SER
SETTINGS
).

First, completely fill the salt reservoir with water and then add the regener-
ation salt (see
C
ARE AND MAINTENANCE
).

The appliance regenerates periodically. This extends the life of the
appliance, but has no significant effect on the noise measurement.
