5.3
Appliance installation / Noise emission measurement and declaration
1.
For appliances with an adjustable plinth, the latter must be disassembled.
2.
The appliance must be stood on a flat, solid floor surface.
3.
If a slide plate has been supplied, the appliance is to be placed on it. The slide plate is to be screwed to the floor where possible.
4.
Lay the inlet hose, drain hose and mains cable in the test cabinet and then route them out of it (see the Installation instructions).
Seal the opening around the hoses and cable in accordance with the norm.
5.
For the decor panel and test cabinet, use a 19 mm thick chipboard (density: >750 kg/m³).
6.
Fit the decor panel to the appliance door (see the Installation instructions).
7.
Level out any unevenness between the test cabinet and the floor.
8.
Completely fill the salt reservoir with water and then fill with regeneration salt (see the 'Care and maintenance' section in the Op-
erating instructions).
9.
Set the water hardness setting (see the 'User settings' section in the Operating instructions).
10. Load the appliance following the diagram for the relevant model. For noise measurement, unsoiled dishes are to be used.
11. The combi doser is to be filled with rinse agent. The setting for the rinse agent is level 10. The soiling and the addition of deter-
gent is to be carried out in accordance with standard 60704-2-3.
12. Depending on the water hardness, the appliance regenerates from time to time at the start of a programme. This is detectable
through rinsing action (repeated intake and pumping off of water) in the first few minutes. This measurement is to be discarded.
13. Procedure for noise emission measurement and declaration
Before starting the test, run three programmes for normally to heavily soiled dishes. To ensure the water tank is full, the last pro-
gramme to be run must be the eco programme and the appliance must be disconnected from the mains (the appliance can re-
main connected to the mains if no more than 36 hours have elapsed between the conditioning and the start of the first test pro-
gramme, or 50 hours in the case of the eco programme).
