The most important is that the tube does not escape the central stationary pin, which
is located in the middle. When unfolding the awning, this frame tie plays the critical
role. Even if the pipes are not properly inserted after the awning is unfolded, they
can be rearranged in the right order. Make sure the tubes of the frame are completely
put on the pins.
Caution:
do not tear the awning, if the tubes are not put on the pins, they create a
dangerous strain of the awning between the tunnels!
f) Do the same with the other hinge.
g) To prevent the steel tube from escaping the hinge, fix the first and the last arcs of
the frame with cotter pins.
Step 5: Secure the awning
Before securing the awning, you need to “shake” it. To do this, jerk the awning on
both sides to the left and to the right, so that the film and the tunnels are correctly
distributed along the meridians.
a) Now, secure the awning using six corkscrews.
b) On both sides of the awning on the first and last arcs, there are three holes. In all
these six holes, a corkscrew should be placed. Having closed the awning, mark the
places and screw the corkscrews into the ground. They should be placed outside the
entire structure. Screw the corkscrews halfway, the clearance must be 2-3 cm. The
handles of the corkscrews must be perpendicular to the frame of the awning and
overlap with it.
c) To secure the sides of the awning on the ground in a closed position, put the frame
of the awning in the openings of the corkscrew handle. To prevent its escape, secure
it in the ground with pins.
Step 6: Install the awning in a semi-open position.
a) Using a rope, measure the distance between the meridians in their central parts.
b) Tie one end of the rope to the last arc of the awning frame in its central part, make
a loop on the other end of the rope and put it on the handle of the corkscrew.
c) Open the awning.
d) To prevent the awning from folding, put the arc lying on the ground onto the
corkscrew handle.
e) To avoid bending of the arcs, as well as damage to the awning for models of 5 m
or more, or in areas with strong winds, it is necessary to secure a slightly open
awning with two ropes through the side holes.
