Valve Installation
Use the HTO Quick Start Guide in the back of this manual for details.
1.
Remove the tanks from carton.
2.
Verify the riser is centered in the tanks. There is an indentation in the bottom of the
tanks that will center the riser.
3.
Place a piece of duct tape over the riser tubes so no media enters the riser while filling.
4.
Make sure the risers are centered to facilitate the valve installation after installa-
tion of the media.
5.
Use the Funnel provided, to pour the media into the tanks. Pour it evenly around the
hole to ensure it is well distributed in the tank and pour slow enough, to keep from plug-
ging the hole. Evenly divide the gravel and carbon and pour in the tanks.
Important: It is a good practice to hold a shop vac close to the funnel to collect any
dust that escapes during the filling process. Safety glasses and a dust mask are rec-
ommended
.
6. When media is installed move tank side to side to settle the media. If possible, fill the
tanks with water and allow the carbon to soak while installing the other parts of the system.
