To avoid being shocked, make sure your
computer and all peripheral devices are
turned off and unplugged.
Before installing your modem, write its
serial number in the space provided on
the first page of this manual. You will find
the serial number underneath the bar
code on the white label on the modem.

Turn off your computer and unplug it
from the electrical outlet.
2.
Unplug any peripheral devices
(printer, monitor, keyboard, mouse,
etc.) from the computer.
3.
Remove the cover of the
computer.Refer to your computer
manufacturer’s manual, if you need
instructions.
4.
Your modem is designed as a PCI
card. Hold the modem so that the
black connectors are pointing at the
floor and the speaker and other
components (speaker, processor,
etc.) are facing you.
If the silver bracket is on the left, you
have a PCI card.
