8.5 Ignition

IGNITION SYSTEM

The ignition system incorporates the power supplies, ignition coil, moving coil pickup,
electronic amplifier, two spark plugs, a set of low and high voltage wires and the ignition
switch.

A contactless ignition system with electronic ignition timing is used.

The ignition coil has two high voltage terminals, each supplying one of the cylinder spark
plugs and operating in conjunction with the moving coil pickup.
