IMPORTANT
:
Remove kettle from
its electric base before cleaning.
Allow kettle to fully cool before attempting to clean.
Inside
:
Rinse the inside of the kettle with cool, clean water. A
mild soap may be used, as long as care is taken to thoroughly
rinse the inside of the kettle. The use of harsh or abrasive
cleaners may damage the finish of your kettle.
Do not use
bleach products
.
Over time, scale build-up may accumulate on the inside of the
kettle. This can be removed by pouring a small amount of
vinegar into the kettle and allowing it to soak overnight. A citric
acid solution, or any commercially-available descaling product
will also work. After descaling, rinse the kettle thoroughly and
discard the first kettle of boiled water to remove any residual
descaling solution.
Outside
: The outside of the kettle can be wiped clean with a
soft, damp cloth.
Base
:
Should the base require cleaning, remember to first
unplug the base from the electrical outlet. Do not attempt to
disassemble or submerge the base in water, but rather wipe it
with a damp cloth. Allow to fully dry before plugging it back into
the outlet.
