The i-linc MFD can display relative terrain proximity as supplied by the internal database, or by
the Goodrich LANDMARK® external TSO-C151a certified TAWS sensor. When the terrain is
depicted from the external TAWS sensor, this depiction is specifically referred to as TAWS based
terrain.
Airborne weather radar systems can also be interfaced, allowing weather display functions similar
to that of the original equipment indicator. The I-linc does not support the accessory functions of
some indicators, such as flight plan overlay, checklist presentations etc.
The i-linc MFD Obstruction database includes man made obstacles greater than 250’ AGL as
provided by NOAA. This database is updated on a 56 day cycle on the front loading datacard with
other nav databases. Symbology similar to sectional charts show towers and poles. Catenary
support structures that support overhead transmission lines located across rivers, chasms gorges etc
are depicted with a crossed symbol.
The i-linc MFD has a built in pre-heat mode (30 seconds to 60 seconds) on each startup below
30C. During the pre-heat mode, the display will remain dark. The pre-heat mode is designed to
extend the life of the LCD backlight.
WARNING
The radar system generates microwave radiation and improper use,
or exposure, may cause serious bodily injury.
DO NOT OPERATE THIS EQUIPMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE
READ AND CAREFULLY FOLLOWED THE SAFETY
