whaT can be Done ...
if The Drive shafT of your aPPliance no longer roTaTes?
When you have not used your appliance for a
fairly long time the drive shaft may get stuck due
to small foodstuff residues which have hardened
and are now gumming up the lower shaft bearing.
Place your ESGE-Zauberstab
®
for about 5 mi-
nutes in a jug with hot water and a mild deter-
gent, then switch it on. In general your ESGE-
Zauberstab
®
will then work again; if not, just try
to free the shaft carefully with pliers.
Should the shaft still not rotate, the fault probab-
ly lies elsewhere, and the appliance should be
sent to our repair service.
If an attachment no longer fits tightly on the
stub, simply pinch the spring blades of the
attachment together with a pair of pliers. Remove
the accessories from time to time from the shaft
and clean the shaft. Otherwise the lower socket
may be blocked because of insufficient cleaning.

If sticky ingredients such as egg, sugar, honey
are processed, it is best to hold the appliance
together with the attachment for a minute or two
in the washing-up water. Water will not harm the
housing, but the cable outlet must not get wet.
